virtual tour photographers who use specialist equipment to photograph the business and will make the business look its very best. The photosphere programme is aimed at the amateur and enthusiast market and you can upload your mobile panoramas. Unless taken on pro equipment they never look as good. You get what you pay for.

How will Google Maps Business Views help my business?

There are many great advantages to getting a Google tour of your business. The main one being it showcases the inside to potential customers and are more likely to visit. Adding the tour to your website is known to increase the dwell time and if you use social media and tell everyone about the tour will increase traffic to your site.

When potential customers do a local search your business may well appear in the local search results and the photographs we take and the See Inside tour will stand out from those businesses without them. People are more likely to check out a business that appears to have more interesting content. Give them a reason to check you out. There are many more. What is the relationship between Google and the trusted photographer?

Trusted Photographers are independent contractors/businesses that are not employed by Google, agents of Google or affiliated with Google in any way. Google has certified them because they meet Google’s standards of quality for taking the feature pictures and panoramic pictures, uploading them, moderating them and eventually publishing them on Google.

How long does a photoshoot take?

It’s dependant on several things and the most obvious is the size of the business to be photographed. A small single shop for instance can take 30-40 minutes whereas a University or Hospital might take several days.

Other factors determining how long a photoshoot will take includes how prepared you are in terms of tidying and cleaning up, how busy you are with customers and any special features like soft, springy floors.

What areas will be photographed?

Photo shoots will include the main customer-facing areas of your business. You can work with the photographer to determine what areas of your businesses you would like to highlight, or even exclude from the shoot. Once again, the goal of the photographs is to show customers what they would expect to see if they visited your business on a normal day.

Can I have people in the virtual tour?

Because we want to keep the focus of the photos on the inside of your business, we aim to have as few people in the shots as possible. Anyone included in the tour would have their faces blurred in the final tour so would be unrecognisable. Certain special categories of businesses are required to have no people at all in the tour but we can advise on those.

During the shoot, photographers may put up a sign and alert customers and employees about to be photographed. As the business owner it would be your responsibility to notify your employees and customers that the photo shoot is taking place.

Do I get to keep the photographs?

The photographs taken to accompany the virtual tour and uploaded to Google are included in the package price. They will supplied to you digitally and are free to use for any purpose you wish.
